About KanakSi

Founded by Kanika Singh, Kanaksi began as a personal way to record recipes that turned out really well or held special meaning to me—creating a digital repository, much like the recipe diary my mom keeps of her favorites. Inspired by my travels around the world, I discovered that understanding a culture goes hand-in-hand with exploring its food, history, and uniqueness. Sometimes I recreate dishes as they are, and other times I “Indianize” these special recipes to make them my own. Keeping the KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) philosophy at heart, I share only recipe cards for quick, easy browsing and straightforward follow-through. All recipes are tested in a home kitchen and designed for cooks of all levels.
